On Friday, September 29th the Northern Illinois Region held their Bi-Annual Networking luncheon. Staff from five IOP programs (Taylorville Memorial Hospital, Sarah Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Staunton Community Hospital, Carlinville Area Hospital, Paris Community Hospital) participated in discussion, idea sharing, and encouragement.
Amy Graham and the staff at Taylorville Memorial Hospital graciously agreed to host the event in the hospital community room in order to facilitate a private location for case discussion of sensitive information. Participates brought ideas on their latest community education efforts and helped one another brainstorm ways to reach out to community referral sources. In addition, this meeting focused on treatment planning and an in depth discussion of a complicated patient case. “Everyone had great ideas and some really helpful processes for making treatment goals understandable and meaningful for patients.
