(Salem, IL) The New Beginnings Program at Salem Township Hospital celebrated Halloween in style by hosting a festive event filled with spooky fun for their patients. The day featured Halloween-themed trivia, lively music, and an array of engaging activities that brought smiles and laughter to everyone involved. Patients enjoyed the creative energy of the event, which provided a lighthearted way to connect and celebrate the season.


Adding to the excitement, the New Beginnings team joined in on the fun by embracing the Halloween spirit with creative costumes. Program Director Mary Hammond delighted attendees dressed as a Hot Dog, while Program Therapist Ashley Donoho brought peace and groovy vibes as a Hippie. Unit Clerk Julie Graumenz charmed the crowd as Minnie Mouse. The team’s playful costumes added an extra layer of joy and entertainment to the day.



The festivities didn’t end there—New Beginnings also contributed to the hospital’s annual pumpkin contest with a themed pumpkin entry. Their participation highlighted the team’s dedication to fostering a positive and cheerful environment for their patients.


The Halloween event not only spread holiday cheer but also reinforced the program’s commitment to creating meaningful and enjoyable experiences for the individuals they serve.
