Jefferson Hospital Welcomes New Therapist to IOP


(Louisville, GA) Jefferson Hospital's Center for Behavioral Health is excited to welcome Mikia Finley, LPC, as its newest therapist joining the Intensive Outpatient Program. With five years of experience in clinical mental health counseling, Mikia brings a wealth of expertise to the team. Specializing in trauma-informed care, Mikia focuses on addressing a range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, and severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) such as Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, and Bipolar Disorder.


Employing a client-centered approach, Mikia incorporates evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Motivational Interviewing into her practice. She firmly believes in fostering a therapeutic environment grounded in respect, professionalism, and rapport. Recognizing the prevalence of trauma and its impact on individuals' emotional and mental well-being, Mikia is dedicated to helping clients gain insight into themselves, their perspectives, and develop healthy coping mechanisms to navigate life's challenges. Her commitment to assisting clients in their journey of self-discovery and growth aligns seamlessly with the mission of the Center for Behavioral Health at Jefferson Hospital.
